First-Cycle (Bachelor's) Sociology Studies
Why Choose Our Program and Specializations
Sociology examines how people connect and separate in society. It explores the functioning of diverse social groups—from communities and nations to organizations like political parties—and analyzes how they evolve. The discipline seeks not only to describe but to explain why social structures operate as they do. Sociologists employ specialized research methodologies, with surveys being perhaps the most recognized. This approach allows researchers to gather data about an entire population (such as all residents of a country) by studying a carefully selected, representative sample. Equally important are qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews where participants freely discuss topics relevant to their lived experiences. The insights gathered through these approaches help create positive social change—improving community services, enhancing quality of life, increasing organizational efficiency, and better understanding consumer preferences. Ultimately, sociology provides tools to better comprehend our social environment and our place within it, contributing to both personal development and identity formation.
Our sociology program prepares students to become researchers, innovators, and social analysts. You'll develop expertise in conducting social research, implementing community interventions, and analyzing data for informed decision-making. Graduates apply these skills to develop solutions that address social needs, enhance quality of life, improve organizational performance, and increase engagement with products and services.
Career opportunities span both public and private sectors. Our specialized tracks prepare you for roles in social research, market research, consulting, esports, human resources, professional research firms, local government, and public administration. Many of our graduates also successfully establish their own businesses.
