Discipline Council

In accordance with ordinance No. 70 of the Rector of the University of Zielona Góra dated October 15, 2019, pursuant to Article 23, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and § 47 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Statute of the University of Zielona Góra, the Research Discipline Board of Sociological Sciences was established.

The Board's tasks include the implementation of statutory competencies, in particular:

• conducting proceedings before the Board regarding the conferment of the doctoral degree in the discipline of sociological sciences within the scope of the University of Zielona Góra's authority in this area,
• defining the direction of development and plans within the discipline, including the formulation of research strategies,
• initiating human resources policy (including recruitment, employment, evaluation, and promotion) for research and research-teaching staff,
• allocating financial resources within the discipline for conducting scientific research by employees.
