Since October 1, 2018, the Social Networks Research Unit (formerly known as "Sieciownia") has been renamed the Mobility and Social Cohesion Research Unit. We are a collegial, collaborative, and inclusive team of researchers and reflective practitioners—faculty members, doctoral candidates, undergraduate students, professionals, and community advocates. We share the belief that modern societies need to rebuild and strengthen their social bonds, which informs our mission: "By connecting valuable ideas, innovative initiatives, and dedicated individuals, we contribute to meaningful social change."
We engage in a wide range of research projects and community initiatives. Our approach emphasizes action research and network-based methodologies. Our portfolio includes analyzing cross-border collaboration networks (Polish-German project "Trust Across Borders"), examining social entrepreneurship dynamics (project "Network Model for Social Entrepreneurship Development"), and implementing best practices in urban revitalization (Polish-Danish project "Bottom-up – Innovative Public Space Design"). We've also conducted studies on regional inclusion networks in the Lubuskie area (project "Lubuskie Inclusion Networks").
We welcome opportunities for collaborative research and social impact initiatives, with a particular focus on action research.
