Graduate of sociology at the University of Zielona Góra. She obtained her doctoral degree at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw based on the dissertation "Internet in the election campaign. Sociological analysis of the mobilization of the electorate in the 2005 parliamentary elections in Poland".

She obtained her postdoctoral degree at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław. The basis for awarding the title was the monograph: "Gra o komina. Sociological conditions of conflicts in the face of plans to establish a mining and energy complex in the Lubuskie Voivodeship". Her scientific and research activities focus on the topics of social research methodology, borderland sociology, sociology of conflict (especially in the context of infrastructure investments) and youth sociology. Co-author of research on the multidimensional diagnosis of residents of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, Lubuski Poll Social.
Since October 1, 2019, Director of the Institute of Sociology. In 2016-2019 she was the deputy director of the Institute of Sociology at the University of Zielona Góra

For many years she has been actively involved in the development of the Lubuskie region by participating in many diagnostic and promotional activities. She is the Director of the Lubuskie Centre for Social Research. In addition, a member of the Programme Council of the Regional Broadcasting Station of Polish Radio "Radio Zachód" in the term 2012-2016 and the Council of the Lubuskie Branch of the National Health Fund (since 2016).
