Tasks

In accordance with the order of the Rector of the University of Zielona Gora No. 70 of October  15, 2019, pursuant to art. 23 sec. 1 and 2 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and § 47 para. 1 and 2 of the Statute of the University of Zielona Gora, the Council for the Discipline of Sociological Sciences was established.

The tasks of the Council include the implementation of statutory competences, including in particular:

• conducting proceedings before the Council regarding the conferment of a doctoral degree in the discipline of sociological sciences within the scope of the UZ's powers in this respect,
• defining development directions and plans within the discipline, including defining scientific research strategies,
• initiative in the field of human resources policy (i.e. recruitment, employment, evaluation, promotion) of research and research and teaching staff,
• distribution of financial resources in the discipline for conducting scientific research by employees.
